How This Came to Be

Kellie and Earl,  San Francisco 2009

When Kellie Love first met Earl Purdy at the international Miracles conference held in San Francisco in February 2000, he was immediately drawn to Earl’s dedication to the Course and his uplifting and joyous way of teaching its practical application in everyday life.  Later that same year, the two found themselves presenting together at a Miracles Southeast Regional conference in Atlanta.  Kellie, one of the founding members of the Course community in North Carolina, decided right then and there to bring Earl to NC as soon he was able to, so that Earl could share his message with the local community. It was in a diner in Marietta, GA that the two began to lay plans for Earl’s visit.  There were a few times when it looked like that dream was about to come to fruition, and yet things seemed to have a way of not coming together.

Well, that is all in the past now as we celebrate the present moment and look forward to the long-awaited culmination of Kellie's vision.  Earl, a long-time teacher of the Course with a now burgeoning international following, is finally coming to North Carolina!  He will be presenting a weekend workshop at Unity Center of Peace in Chapel Hill on April 14 and 15.  The topic of the weekend is Living A Course in Miracles: How to Apply the Course to All Areas of Your Life.     With Earl's easy, witty and straightforward style, we will be shown how to make the central themes of the Course come alive and see how easily they can be applied to all of life's circumstances.
Kellie made his transition to a higher way of seeing this world in December of 2010, but we know he is with us in Spirit as we bring this event to fruition, cheering us on.  This promises to be one of the most joyous and uplifting celebrations of the teachings of the Course this community has ever witnessed, we hope you will join us!!
